RWTH Science Night 2017
The “RWTH Science Night” has been taking place every year now since 2003, on the second Friday in November, and always welcomes numerous guests. The idea behind the Science Night is to present science in an unusual way and at an unusual time.
Once Again the E.ON Energy Research Center was present at the annual RWTH Science Night. The Science Night took place on Friday, November 10th, 2017 at 7 p.m. at the lecture hall C.A.R.L. of the RWTH Aachen University. After many successful evenings before, the Sience night was again very well attended this year.

E.ON ERC at the Science Night 2017
Why can’t I open the refrigerator in my kitchen at summer to cool the room? Electric current from the earth - how can that work? Why do we need most energy in our households? How does electricity come from a spinning wind turbine into the outlet? As versatile as the questions are, is the research at E.ON Energy Research Center about the energy supply of the future.
Last year, the E.ON Energy Research Center of the RWTH Aachen University celebrated its 10th anniversary. During these years, the Center developed to one of the most important research centers in Europe. After these 10 years of research, the five institutes of the E.ON ERC will give an inside view about their work and research about the energy revolution in Germany. The focus will be on practical examples of energy supply of tomorrow.
