British Geological Survey, founded in 1835, is a world-leading geological survey and research facility. It produces a wide range of data products in all areas of geoscience including energy, environmental chemistry, geology, geophysics, ground conditions, groundwater, hazards, marine, minerals and 3D models. British Geological Survey supports scientists and researchers with information about earth and environmental processes, the recovery from the dwindling fossil fuel reserves and the development of renewable energy.
