Are we IoT-ready? – Online Workshop on June 10th, 2021

Online workshop in the publicly funded project NextGenBAT

Building automation is changing: Following the trend of Industry 4.0, we also see an increase in communication in building automation using the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud services. In the research project Next Generation “Building Automation Technology (NextGenBAT)” feasibility, operation, and evaluation of such cloud-based building automation are investigated.

In addition to the technical questions to be answered, the exchange between the different stakeholders of planning, construction, and operation of a building also plays a major role. For this reason, regular workshops are held as part of the NextGenBAT research project. On June 10, 2021, starting at 9 a.m., the online workshop series will enter its third round; this time with the title "Are we IoT-ready?" There will be exciting expert presentations, such as from the perspective of the media, politics, administration, industry, and research. The discourse is one of the key elements of these workshops. That is why two panel discussions are planned. Feel free to bring your questions to the speakers and your ideas, wishes, and comments into the discussion. This is your chance!

You can find the current program at There you can also register for the workshop free of charge.

On the project website you will also find articles, recordings of the contributions to the last workshops, and white papers.

If you know of anyone else who might be interested, we encourage you to forward this information.

We look forward to your participation.
