Carl Christian Michelsen
, Diplom-Volkswirt (Albert-Ludwig University of Freiburg, Germany), M.Sc. in Environmental Management and Policy (The International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics at Lund University, Sweden), joined the FCN in June 2008 as a research associate. He has a background in applied interdisciplinary research approaches with a focus on energy-related issues. Christian’s current research is on the role of behavioral and economic factors in the adoption and diffusion of innovative residential heating systems. The working title of his doctoral thesis is “Drivers and Barriers Influencing the Adoption of Competing Residential Heating Systems”.
Christian is a former research associate at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy in Wuppertal, Germany (research group “Energy, Transport and Climate Policy”). Previously, he worked as a consultant with the division “Energy and Climate Policy” at PROGNOS AG in Basel, Switzerland.
