E.ON ERC is highly committed to provide excellence and innovation in education.
The five institutes of E.ON ERC offer a wide variety of courses and most of them have been just recently developed to meet the requirements of the most modern programs in energy. Furthermore, E.ON ERC is also a unique environment for students. Students joining lectures of the five institutes of Energy Research Center for any type of study program will automatically be involved in the everyday research activities. These activities are multi-disciplinary in nature. This is true in particular for students, but even more so for projects linked to Bachelor, Master, and PhD theses. E.ON ERC is also involved in new initiatives, some of which still are development, that make of the interdisciplinary nature of energy their kernel.
Teaching at E.ON ERC comprises the following facets:
In agreement with the involved faculties, E.ON ERC aspires to initiate a cooperative degree program, like the IDEA (Imperial College, TU Delft, ETH Zürich, RWTH Aachen) League concept, that incorporates selected partner universities in North Rhine-Westphalia and Germany as well as the IDEA League partner universities.
The international and national cooperations and networks of the E.ON Energy Research Center, such as JARA Energy (Jülich-Aachen Research Alliance on Energy), will be included in the teaching program of E.ON ERC.
